Live Nativity Events in Indianapolis
Light Up Danville: Christmas on the Square held on November 23rd from 4pm to 8pm is a free evening filled with holiday cheer visiting the Courthouse Square to enjoy the Live Nativity, trackless train, strolling Christmas characters, carolers and the lighting of the Christmas Tree.
Elwood First United Methodist Church Live Nativity will take place on November 25th from 3pm to 6pm includes actors, animals, refreshments and an interactive portrayal of the Christmas story.
Castleton United Methodist Church in Indianapolis Live Nativity will take place on November 30th & December 1st, beginning at 6pm and ending at 9pm. The church invites the community to follow the journey that Mary and Joseph took. Don’t miss the live animals and refreshments.
St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Carmel offers a Holy Walk experience on November 30th and December 1st at 6pm. Find yourself surrounded by the spirit of Christmas as you travel outdoors to Bethlehem of 2000 years ago to pay your taxes and be counted in the Roman Census. Hear the angels announce the birth of the Messiah. Listen as the shepherds, the prophet and the wise men talk of signs and wonders. Enjoy the city alive with activity, but with no room at the inn. Avoid the anger of the Roman soldiers and tax collectors. See a newborn babe asleep in a manger. Donations of canned goods are requested.
Westfield in Lights Saturday, December 1st from 3pm to 7pm offers free activities for the whole family: Live Nativity at Hadley Park from 5pm to 7pm; pictures with Santa; train rides; pictures with Frosty the Snowman; gingerbread house display; live reindeer petting and show; live musical entertainment; food & retail vendors; and, the annual tree lighting celebration.
Back to Bethlehem in Brownsburg is held on December 1, 2018: 12:30-3:30pm & 5:30—8:30pm. This is an interactive, walk-through live nativity that the entire family will enjoy.
Anderson’s Live Outdoor Nativity Pageant 41st running of Anderson’s only outdoor living nativity held on December 15th & 16th. Free admission and free hot cocoa and cookies indoors after each show. Shows run every half hour starting at 6pm last show at 7:30pm (4 shows each night).
Lafayette Living Nativity at Faith Church takes place two weekends in December on Friday-Sunday nights (weather permitting): December 9-9th at 6:30-8:30pm and December 14-16 at 6:30-8:30pm. Admission is free; however, donations of nonperishable food items will be appreciated and accepted to support the community food pantry.
St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Indianapolis Live Nativity will take place on Saturday, December 22nd at 2pm and 4pm. This is a 45 minute service with an orchestra, storytelling and live animals.
Cornerstone Lutheran Church in Fishers Living Nativity will take place on Saturday, December 8th from 5:30pm to 8pm. Join us this evening for a retelling of the nativity story, complete with live animals, Christmas caroling, cookies, and more. Cost is a non-perishable food item. A portion of this event will take place outside, so dress accordingly.
Christkindl Village on Georgia Street in Downtown Indianapolis will have a live nativity as part of the Christkindl celebration held from December 15th & 16th.
Danville United Methodist Church Live Nativity held on the Square on November 23rd as part of the Danville Christmas on the Square from 6-8:30pm
First Baptist Church of Greenwood offers a drive-thru live nativity on Friday, December 21st from 6pm to 8pm.
