Fishers Event Center: A Game-Changer for Indiana

Brand new in the city of Fishers, Indiana, Fishers Event Center has opened its doors. The premier destination for sports, and entertainment in Hamilton County, this state-of-the-art facility reflects Fishers’ ongoing growth and commitment to providing residents and visitors with top-tier experiences.

Where is Fishers Event Center?

Fishers Event Center, located near the popular Nickel Plate District and in the same vicinity of IKEA, is more than just an arena — the project, spearheaded by the City of Fishers in collaboration with the Indy Fuel hockey team, was designed to address the need for a multipurpose venue that could cater to various events, from professional sports to concerts and community gatherings.

The facility boasts a seating capacity of approximately 7,500, making it one of the largest indoor venues in Hamilton County. This flexibility allows the center to host a wide array of events, including Indy Fuel hockey games, basketball tournaments, live music performances, and corporate expos. Its strategic location, just off I-69, ensures accessibility for both local residents and visitors traveling from Indianapolis and beyond.

For fans and attendees, the facility offers an array of amenities including luxury suites and premium seating. Concession stands feature a mix of local favorites and traditional event fare, catering to a wide range of tastes.

In addition to the main arena, the event center includes auxiliary spaces such as meeting rooms, a team store, and a community plaza. These features make the venue a hub for more than just large-scale events, offering space for smaller gatherings, business meetings, and local activities.

The New Home of the Indy Fuel Ice Hockey Team

One of the largest parts of Fishers Event Center is its role as the new home for the Indy Fuel, our Indiana professional hockey team (ECHL). The arena’s ice rink is NHL-regulation size and can be used for so many things.

The Indy Fuel’s move to Fishers is expected to bring a significant economic boost to the area. The team’s games are projected to attract thousands of visitors each season, filling nearby hotels, restaurants, and shops.

Additionally, the Fishers Event Center is also home to Indiana’s first professional volleyball team, Indy Ignite, and a pro indoor football team, Fishers Freight.

A number of high-profile local events are already scheduled for Fishers Event Center and many more are expected to follow — Nitro Circus, Alabama, Blake Sheldon, Cirque du Soleil, and comedian Tom Segura.

The venue is also equipped to host trade shows, conferences, and community events, making it a year-round hub of activity.

The community plaza adjacent to the event center is designed to host festivals, farmers markets, and seasonal activities such as holiday markets or summer movie nights.

Fishers Event Center Clear Bag Policy

Bags must be CLEAR plastic, vinyl, or PVC and not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”. Bags cannot be tinted with color or include oversized content that prevents visibility into the clear bag. Only non-clear bags that are smaller than 4.5” x 6.5” will be permitted into the stadium, including diaper bags!

“Baby and infant care items such as bottled formula and small snacks may be brought into the Event Center, however, those items must be carried in a clear bag meeting the bag policy guidelines.  Camera bags and cases that accompany any permitted personal device must meet the clear bag policy specifications or will be denied entry.  Exceptions to the Clear Bag Policy will only be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection by security personnel. Please ask for assistance at the door. “

Parking at Fishers Event Center

There is a fee for parking at Fishers Event Center. Parking fees vary by show/event and are payable online in advance or by app at the venue. An automated system will scan your license plate upon exit to verify payment for parking.

Accessibility and Other Considerations at Fishers Event Center

A Sensory Room is located near The Garage team store near the main entrance, as is a Mother’s Room. Family restrooms are available on Levels One and Two, Universal changing tables are available in the Family Restrooms on Level 2.
