Participating vendors around the Fairgrounds offer select foods and drinks for $5 or less, making it easier to grab a snack, split a few treats, or even put together a budget-friendly meal.

Here are the participating $5 menu items:
At Black Leaf Vegan, you can grab a Vegan Mighty Mac for $5, while Burger Bob’s Concessions offers a $5 burger slider. The Dairy Bar has several especially good deals, including $5 milkshakes in Blue Raspberry, Chocolate, Vanilla, and Strawberry, plus $5 grilled cheese sandwiches like The Big Dill, Italian Melt, American on White, Colby on Wheat, and Pepperjack on Sourdough. You can also get a 10-ounce cup of white or chocolate milk for just 50 cents, Hoosier Custard for $4.50, and small servings of yogurt or cottage cheese for $2.25. Plus, with this coupon, the kids’ meal at the Dairy Bar is just $4!
If you’re looking for something cold to drink, DG Concessions has a 16-ounce frozen lemonade for $5. Twisted Drinks and Food offers a 16-ounce fresh-brewed iced tea for $5, while McGrotha Foods at The Root Beer Barrel has a 16-ounce drink for $4. Red Barn Elephant Ears has fountain drinks for $4-$5, and several vendors offer bottled water or soft drinks for $5 or less.
There are plenty of savory options too. Fish Hut has a 3-ounce walleye slider sandwich for $5, and Ford Foods offers French fries for $5. Gobble Gobble has a $5 chicken corn dog, while Swains Concessions has slices of cheese pizza for $5.
At McWaters Concessions, you’ll find several budget-friendly choices, including an all-beef hot dog, French fries, one chicken tender with fries, a chicken tender snack wrap, and a 32-ounce Cruiser Cup soft drink, all for $5.
R.E. Smith Food and Drink has one of the largest selections on the value menu. Choose from a corn dog, nachos, hamburger, chicken sandwich, hot dog, French fries, fountain drink, or a kids’ meal with a hot dog, chips, and small drink. Most are $5, and bottled water benefiting the Indiana State Fair Foundation is $3.
If you’re craving something fried, Orme Deep Fried Treats has a mini funnel cake on a stick for $5. Red Frazier Bison offers seasoned French fries, seasoned tater tots, and fried Brussels sprouts for $5 each.
At Smokehouse Saloon, you can choose from several $5 sides and snacks, including dirty rice, smoked breadcrumb mac and cheese, smoked pork green beans, smoked pork rinds, coleslaw, and a chili lime smoked chicken drumstick.
Sati Babi serves four small egg rolls for $5, while Wilson Concessions has a long list of $5 options including peach or apple cider slushies, corn dogs, plain fries, pickles on a stick, nachos, and small drinks.
For sweet treats, Indiana Ribeye has the Cowpie, a cookie ice cream sandwich, for $5. Jessop Candy Products offers buttered popcorn for $5, and The Big Strawberry from McGrotha Foods has an ice cream cone for $5.
Urick Concessions also has several lower-cost choices, including $3 potato chips, $4 bottled water, $4 soft drinks, $4 coffee, hot chocolate, or hot tea, and a $5 kids’ meal.
And if you’re just looking for a little something on the side, Indiana Pork has coleslaw for $3 and applesauce for $2.
With this many choices, it is absolutely possible to eat at the Indiana State Fair without spending $15 or $20 every time someone in your family gets hungry.
Before you head to the Fair, take a look through the list and make note of a few options your family will actually eat. It can be a great way to keep food costs under control while still leaving room in the budget for one or two of those wild Taste of the Fair creations.
