A Day in the Life of Virtual Learning with Four Kids | COVID E-Learning

We completed our eighth day of school for the 2020-21 school year. Our school districted decided during the summer that we would begin the school year with 100% of students in virtual learning or e-learning classes.

I have four children, ages 4, 5, 8 & 10. Three are participating in elementary school virtual learning, one in kindergarten, one in grade 3 high ability and one in grade 5 high ability. Our babysitter helps out with my four year old two days a week and occasionally my husband is able to help out and I’m hoping my mother in law will be able to help out regularly in the near future. I typically work full time, but COVID-19 has caused my work load to change completely.

At this time, we are nearly 5 months in to social distancing. We have not returned to our regular activities and our contact with friends is very, very limited. Despite all of this, we did select in person learning for our children for this school year, but then our school changed their offerings to online only.

Here is a Day in the Life VLOG of our day of virtual learning.

We use this mouse for our Chrome Books. It’s made it much easier for the littles to navigate their classwork.

Here’s more info about one of our three virtual learning spaces.
