Get ready to slide, Indianapolis! Slick City Action Park is opening a brand-new location in the Geist area in late August 2026, bringing giant indoor slides, air courts, an arcade, and play spaces for younger kids to the northeast side of Indianapolis.
When we say slides, we’re not talking about the little plastic playground variety.
If you haven’t had a chance to visit the Slick City Brownsburg location yet, Slick City is essentially an indoor, waterless slide park, where kids and adults can race down huge slides, twist through tunnels, launch over hills, spin around bowls, and play on giant air-filled courts. The slides deliver some of that same stomach-dropping fun you expect from a water park, except you can do it indoors without putting on a swimsuit.
For families in Geist, Lawrence, Fishers, McCordsville, and the northeast side of Indianapolis, this is going to be a huge addition to the indoor entertainment lineup. Families are always looking for indoor places to play, so you can add this one to the indoor playground list for this year.
Slick City Geist Opens in Late August 2026
The new Slick City Geist is expected to open in late August 2026.

As of August 12, Slick City has not announced an exact grand opening date. The company says additional grand opening details will be shared as opening day gets closer.
The park takes over the former Marsh grocery store property on Fox Road. Plans for Slick City at this location have been in the works for quite some time, and we first shared news of the northeast-side location while it was still in development. Now, the slides are going in and opening day is finally getting close.
The Largest Slick City in Indiana
At approximately 55,000 square feet, Slick City Geist will be the company’s largest Indiana location. For comparison, Slick City Brownsburg in Hendricks County is an action-packed 42,000 square feet.
The park will feature 16 proprietary dry slides, more than any other Slick City location currently planned or operating in Indiana. The slides will overlap and intertwine throughout the facility, creating something that looks a little like an indoor water park without the water.
If you’ve been to the Slick City in Brownsburg, you’ll recognize the concept, but the Geist park is shaping up to be an even larger version of it.
Slick City Brownsburg became the company’s first Indiana location when it opened in 2025.
What Slides Will Be at Slick City Geist?
This is where things get fun. Slick City has already revealed a long list of attractions planned for Geist, including slides with names that give you a pretty good idea of what you’re getting yourself into.
There’s Royal Flush, which sends riders down a steep drop and into a giant spinning bowl. Mega Launch is one of Slick City’s signature slides and is designed to give riders that stomach-dropping launch sensation.
On Big Wave, riders race down a steep drop before gliding back and forth along giant half-pipe-style walls.

- Hyperloop
- Twin Turbo
- Riptide
The Riptide is described by Slick City as its steepest slide yet, while Tailspin is designed as a somewhat gentler introduction for first-time sliders.
Translation for parents: There should be plenty here for the kid who wants to go FAST, but you might not want to start with the most terrifying slide in the building.
There’s More Than Slides at Slick City Geist
The slides will probably be what gets kids through the door, but Slick City isn’t exclusively a slide park. The Geist location also has Sport Air Courts, where kids can play basketball and dodgeball on an air-cushioned surface. There’s Freestyle Air Court, designed for jumping, tricks, and parkour-style play. A large arcade is also planned after opening.
That combination should make Slick City especially appealing for older elementary kids, tweens, and teens. There aren’t nearly as many indoor attractions that still feel exciting once kids have outgrown traditional indoor playgrounds, and giant slides and air courts definitely fill that gap.
And yes, grown-ups can play too.
What About Toddlers and Preschoolers?
Families with little kids aren’t being left out. Slick City Geist will have a Junior Jungle, a padded soft-play area filled with mini slides, climbing obstacles, and other activities for children ages 5 and younger. There’s also a Web Crawler for children 5 and younger where kids can climb through netting and explore hanging play features.
Slick City’s regular Action Tickets are for ages 4 and older, but less expensive Junior Tickets are available for children ages 3 and younger.
How Long Can You Play at Slick City?
The Geist location will offer both 90-minute and 120-minute Action Tickets. Pricing has not been announced yet, but at other locations, a 120-minute pass is $31.99 and a 90-minute pass is $26.99.
Participants will also need Slick City CitySocks, which are $4.99 per pair and can be saved and reworn on your next visit.

Slick City Programs for Kids and Families
Slick City Geist will have a Little Sliders Club, which is specifically geared toward children ages 7 and younger. Kids ages 4 through 7 can use the larger slides and air courts while toddlers play in Junior Jungle. The program can also include crafts, music, character visits, and other activities.
Slick City also offers an After Hours concept designed for kids and teens, when the park transforms with glowing slides, music, and a more energetic nighttime atmosphere.
Other programs listed for the Geist location include Sensory Hours, Homeschool Social events, and Family Fun Days, although dates have not yet been announced.
Birthday Parties at Slick City Geist
I have a feeling we’re going to see a lot of birthday parties happening here. The Geist location is being designed with expanded gathering areas and space for birthday parties, school outings, sports teams, community groups, and other events. The building can accommodate more than 1,000 guests overall.
For kids who have moved beyond the bounce-house birthday but still want to DO something at their party, racing friends down giant slides could be a pretty easy sell.
A New Indoor Activity for Northeast Indianapolis
One thing Indianapolis families can always use is another indoor option. Summer brings 90-degree afternoons, winter brings freezing temperatures, spring brings rain, and sometimes you just need somewhere the kids can run, climb, slide, jump, and burn a ridiculous amount of energy. That’s why we’re especially excited to see Slick City opening in Geist.
It’s an indoor attraction, but it doesn’t feel like a traditional indoor playground. The giant slides, air courts, arcade, and activities for different ages make this a place that could work for elementary-age kids, tweens, teenagers, and even adults who are willing to get in on the action.
Slick City Geist is currently scheduled to open in late August 2026. An exact grand opening date, regular operating hours, and official admission prices are still to come.
