Places to get Donuts around the Indianapolis Area
Do you know what goes best with doughnuts? Kids! Do you know what goes 2nd best with doughnuts? Coffee! And since I enjoy both, here is a list of Doughnut Shops all over the Indy Metro area you can take your kids too. (And get some coffee for yourself.)
Dancing Donut– I love the whimsical atmosphere of their shop and some of their doughnut names are really cute too. They serve Bee’s Coffee which is locally roasted here in Indy and never disappoints.
Sunrise Bakery in Fortville- They have a model train in the store you kids will love to see as they eat their doughnuts. Closed Mondays!
Longs Bakery– Located on Southport Road is probably one of the most talked about bakeries. I cannot count the times someone would bring a box of Longs donuts into the office.
Tim’s Bakery- Find this quaint little donut shop at 6087 W Broadway, McCordsville, IN. They are known for selling out fast on the weekends.
General American Donut Co.- Baking up gourmet donuts with unique flavors makes this one a must see errr… I mean eat.
Taylors Bakery– In business for 4 generations you know they are the real deal. 2 locations to choose from.
The Donut Shop Bakery & Restaurant – Just look for the Orange and Black striped awnings. Trust me they serve a lot more than donuts!
Square Donuts- Your kids will think eating a square donut is crazy. Find them at 3 central Indiana locations serving Juillians Coffee, which is locally roasted.
Titus Bakery – Located in both Lebanon and Westfield. And they have a party room at their Westfield location which is perfect for birthdays!
Boydens Southside Bakery- Located on south Meridian Street and baking up an assortment of yumminess.
Jacks Donuts- Now available in 9 different locations. They brew Harvest Café Coffee a locally roasted coffee.
Krenolies donuts – Open 7 days a week in Noblesville.
Hart Bakery – Pecan Sticky Buns, Coffee Cakes, Fruit Strudels, Apple Fritters, Danish Dandies, Bear Claws and Old Fashioned Sweet Rolls are just a small selection of what you will find there.
White House Donuts– Hand cut doughnuts made Tuesday-Saturday in Westfield.
Dunkin Donuts – Don’t quote me on this but I think there are 18 locations here in central Indiana, so you have no excuse for not getting your sugar and caffeine fix.
Sweet Shop– Early risers in Greenfield can stop in as early as 4 am each day, and they make giant sized doughnuts in the shape of numbers that are perfect for birthdays.
Daylight Donuts– Southsiders know a good doughnut when they eat one.
Hilligoss Bakery– in Brownsburg and definitely on my list of places to try.
