While Christmas light displays are still hugely popular, we’ve seen a big increase in Halloween decorations & light displays in many neighborhoods around Indianapolis. We love traveling around to see new displays, often after attending a local Trunk-or-Treat event. The Irvington area is home to some of the best Halloween decorations and the best Halloween festival. Here are some homes you can visit in the same area.
900 North Ritter, Indianapolis
Bones and skeletons seem to dig from beneath an endless mound of dirt in the front yard.

The Andersons’ Halloween House
14125 Avalon East Drive, Fishers 46037
Nick Anderson has been making spectacular Halloween light displays at his family’s home since 2017. For the past few years, he’s shared a 14-minute light show synced to music on 100.1 FM. It even has a two-story talking face. Check out a previous show on YouTube. Hours are Sunday through Thursday from 7:30-10 pm and Friday and Saturday from 7:30-11 pm. The last night for the show will be October 31.
Scary House on Glapthorn
126th Street and Olio Road, Fishers 46037
We call our home The “Scary House” on Glapthorn. It is also located in Avalon of Fishers neighborhood near 126th and Olio. Graveyard with a Skull Archway and Stacks of Skulls on the entrance, large animatronics lining the side of the house and skeletons scaling up the house. We are about half a block down from the Andersons house listed.

This neighborhood is always worth a visit during the Halloween and Christmas seasons. They hold decorating contests, which really get the whole neighborhood into the holiday spirit. This year’s Halloween judging is on October 27th, so that week would be a great time to check out this festive neighborhood.
Windermere Neighborhood

Lights on Oyster Key

This synchronized light show in Plainfield has over 10,000 LED lights. Their Halloween show is up and running. Shows run from 6-11 pm nightly through Halloween. Tune your radio to 89.7 FM when you are in the area for the audio. Please be respectful of their neighbors and other guests watching the lights, turn off your headlights, and do not block driveways. Snead Family Lights

This synchronized light show is in Lebanon. Their Halloween show runs October 13-31, from Dusk-10 pm nightly. Tune your radio to 88.9 FM when you are in the area for the audio. Nunn Family Light Show

This Halloween display is new to our list. This home will feature a Halloween light show synced to music on 88.1 FM. This display will run from sunset to 10 pm, October 28th through 31st.
Dead End Cemetery Show
2684 Tristan Drive, Lafayette 47909
This Halloween display is returning in 2023 after being canceled for 2022. Since 2016, this home has featured Halloween and Christmas light shows synced to music on 93.3 FM. The Dead End Cemetery is the name of the kid-friendly Halloween show and has displayed themes such as “Werewolves of London” in 2019 and “Monster Mash” in 2018. The only request of the maker of this display is that you dim to parking lights when viewing it and be mindful of the neighbor’s property. Updated information on days and hours along with past light display videos are posted on their webpage.
Lights on 9th

This Halloween display is new to our list. This home will feature a Halloween light show synced to music on 88.1 FM. No pictures yet! this is our first year with whole house! Last year we only have a mega tree! We also have a 12ft skeleton and a 13ft Jack Skellington that will be up for both Halloween and Christmas! This display will run from 630pm-10p sun-thur 630p-11p Fri and sat., starting the second week of October through Halloween. Updated information on days and hours along with past light display videos are posted on their webpage.

This light show has singing pumpkins. Songs include Thriller, Ghost Busters, This is Halloween, and a bunch of others. It runs from sunset to 10 PM nightly.
Spooky House in Westfield
3393 East 191st Street, Westfield 46062
This house is a fun sight to see in both daytime and nighttime. It has multiple scenes that can be seen in daytime hours and extremely cool spooky lighting at night. It’s a drive-by this year, but looking to add music next year.
Bretscher Family Light Show
7596 Wheatgrass Lane. Noblesville
If their Halloween show is anywhere close to their Christmas light show, then you are in for a real treat.
Swanson Family Halloween Display
13569 Auburn Springs Circle, Fishers, IN 46038
This is a small Halloween show with approximately 1500 pixels and two songs (Stranger Things and The Addams Family). Tune to 96.9 for audio. This show runs from 7-10 pm from October 15th to November 1st. The only request from the owner is please do not block driveways.
Norris Family Light Show

The show will most likely not run in 2022. Check Facebook page for up-to-date information. We are definitely excited to see what the Norris Family Light Show has in store this year for both Halloween and Christmas. They typically only run the Halloween show for a couple of days. Lights on Symphony (Moved to Greenwood, possibly expecting 2023 Christmas Show)

This is their second Halloween light show, but they were on our Christmas Light List last year. Turn to 88.5 FM when you are near the house. There are 2 different playlists on alternating days. One is an adult playlist and the other is a kid playlist. They are both technically family-friendly, but each playlist is just geared more toward either kids or adults. These shows will run from October 7 through November 1. They will run from sundown to 11:30 pm each night. You can see a preview on YouTube.
