A few years ago my girls became obsessed with fairies. We heard about fairy festivals and they said, “I wish we had a Fairy Festival near me.”
Good news! There are several central Indiana fairy festivals and even more fairy-themed activities and events. If your family has a fairy fan, we have some great fun on the calendar all over central Indiana and even a little further.

Central Indiana Enchanted Fairy Trail
CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE. This trail is moving to a new location in Spencer, Indiana. Stay tuned for updates.
You know we love a good fairy trail, and this one in Hendricks County is HUGE! With more than 25 stops (and growing), your family will explore the west side and see so many new places as you seek out fairy homes at local businesses and venues. There’s even an annual gathering for a faerie festival!
The Fairy Doors in Richmond, Indiana
There are many reasons to visit Richmond, but the trail of Fairy Doors is reason alone. With so many things to do in Richmond, Indiana, you won’t ever be bored. Only about 90 minutes from Indy, make it a day or weekend trip.
With so many free activities in Richmond, this is one of our favorite places to visit. During the winter, the Fairy Trail becomes a “Frozen Fairy Trail” during the week of the Richmond Ice Festival.
Fairy Gardens and Other Fairy Fun
Abby’s Garden Parties
Anywhere
Abby’s Garden Parties is a service that brings a fairy garden-making workshop to your home, business, or party venue. You can purchase fairy garden kits or have a garden party host lead this activity. You’ll also find occasional Fairy Garden Building classes scheduled at local venues. We love this activity for our school-aged kids and teens.
Fairyville Garden Workshops
Available from July 13-20, 2024
Allisonville Home and Garden, Fishers
From the local business that brings you the Sullivan Express each Christmas season, Fairyville Garden Workshops are offered at the Sullivan’s Allisonville Road location in Fishers for one week during the summer. Purchase tickets for your children ages 5 and up to take a special train ride to Fairyville. Children and accompanying adults, who do not require a ticket, will build a small fairy garden together and embellish it with adorable themed decor. Light refreshments are included with your ticket.
Host Your Own Fairy Party
Anywhere
There’s nothing better than when little fairies and sprites climb out of cars and flutter up your driveway in their fairy finery. Oh, the stories you’ll tell when you pull together a sweet group of friends and have a great time. We found the perfect recipe for a backyard fairy party that can be adjusted to fit many budgets.
Fairy Events in Indianapolis
There are several other places we love to attend fairy-themed events.
The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis has been known to host a fairy garden class. You’ll also want to keep an eye out at local gardens and plant nurseries for special fairy-themed classes. Try Allisonville Home and Garden, Wasson Nursery, or Alice’s Garden.
See if you can spot all the adorable gnomes at Garfield Park Conservatory during the Gnomes on Spring Break exhibition.
