It’s amazing how much a pet can change your family; they instantly become such an important member that you forget they’re not one of your kids. You tell yourself they’re just a pet, and before you know it you’re planning activities that include the family dog!
Pre-pup, I didn’t think dogs needed clothing, but as we near the second Holiday with our dog, I’ll have to admit that he got a Christmas sweater along with my other boys this year.
So of course when I see an opportunity for our family pet to take part in one of our favorite family traditions, I’m going to jump at the chance, right? I mean, I already have the sweater.
And, when my kids have decided that they are too cool to sit for the annual photo with Santa, I have my back-up ready!
