A handful of local ice cream shops are opening early especially for this sweet holiday. What better way to brighten up a Saturday morning in the middle of winter than by starting your day with delicious treats? We promise you’ll score some “cool” points with your kids too! No one will judge if you show up in your jammies and we hear these shops will have the coffee brewing too.
Fundae’s Ice Cream and Sweets

Fundae’s Ice Cream & Sweets will celebrate National Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day on Saturday, Feb. 1 by opening at 8 a.m. to serve ice cream-inspired breakfast items, including:
- Cinnamon roll sundaes
- Donut paninis
- Cereal shakes
- Coffee floats
Breakfast items are available until noon and you can order in advance. Curbside pickup is available!
Moo & Lou Frozen Treats and More
5645 N Post Road, Lawrence
Previously known in the area as a local food truck offering delicious frozen desserts, Moo & Lou Frozen Treats opened its storefront location in December of 2023. The shop will celebrate its second National Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day in 2025. Guests can arrive as early as 7 am on February 1 and are encouraged to show up in their jammies. Special breakfast options like cereal shakes and waffle sundaes will be available until 12 pm.
Scoop Shack
7002 Lake Plaza Drive, Indianapolis
Scoop Shack on the east side of town is a charming, welcoming place to grab a sweet treat any day of the year! But on Ice Cream for Breakfast Day, the community is invited to visit early for a morning of cartoons and treats. Expect plenty of breakfast-inspired ice cream delights for sale. The special breakfast menu promises to include favorites like waffles, fruit, cinnamon rolls, and cereal.
