I have an artsy kid, I actually have four creative children who love making things. We’ve visit the Tie Dye Lab to make t-shirts, Penn & Beech to pour candles, the Bath Junkie for DIY bath products and even paint your own pottery places to paint vases and flower pots. When I found Kicasso Indy, a studio in Broad Ripple where you can customize your own shoes, I knew we had to try it.
COVID Modifications: In response to COVID-19, all guest and staff will be required to wear a face mask before entering facility and during class. All in-studio classes and private events will be held at limited guest capacity, following state regulations.
Kicasso Indy Sneaker Art Bar
This sweet little Broad Ripple house is a full sneaker art studio, a painting class with a kick! Guests register in advance for public workshop sessions where you’ll create wearable art that is customized and created by you! When you register, select your shoe size (you’ll be able to size up or down when you arrive if they shoe doesn’t fit properly) and when you arrive, get to work. My husband and daughter visited Kicasso for a daddy-daughter date night, but we’ve already decided to return for an actual date night!
Kicasso Public Workshops
Kicasso Indy offers sneaker art workshops on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. During your workshop, you’ll have access to paint and brushes as well as a plethora of other materials to create your masterpiece. They are aprons to borrow while you’re in the studio. You don’t need to bring anything, everything will be provided.
Classes are about two and a half hours. You’ll take your sneakers home with you after the class. Food and beverage are available for purchase at Kicasso.
Children age five and up can participate in the class but children under the age of 10 must have an adult with them. Everyone must pay for a seat to attend Kicasso. Seats are first come first served and it is recommended that you reserve in advance to hold a spot.
Birthday Parties at Kicasso
Kicasso offers private events in-house or at your place. I think this would be such a fun birthday party for kids or adults! I can also imagine doing this as a fun bridal shower or bachelorette party activity.
