Defy Indianapolis | Family Friendly Indoor Extreme Recreation Park

I have a hard time buying in to all of the talk about how kids today aren’t as active as they were when we were younger. There are so many new and awesome ways to get moving and get active. The newest is Defy Indianapolis, an indoor extreme recreation park in the Castleton area near Bongo Boy Music and Breakout Games.

We were hosted by Defy Indy for the purpose of learning all about it so we could share it with all of you.

You can experience the whole shebang in one to two hour increments, starting every 30 minutes throughout the day; climbing walls, foam pits, trampolines, a ninja obstacle course, extreme dodgeball, basketball hoops for slam dunks, parkour pits, a trapeze, and an Olympic trampoline — all enclosed within a brand new 35,000 square-foot facility. That’s right, this building was built specifically for this park.

Save some time and fill out the waiver online before you go. You might notice it takes you to a Sky Zone website. It’s true! CircusTrix owns both the Defy and Sky Zone brands, as well as a few others.

What about little kids?

Children age six and under are offered a discount in pricing, PLUS there’s a special one hour time frame Monday – Saturday that kids six and under have the run of the place without the big kids, plus one parent plays free (with their child) during that time. They’ll find a lot of things they can try, and if all else fails, there are trampolines!

How much does it cost? Are there discounts?

Pricing varies depending on how long you want to play and how old you are. Special grippy socks must be purchased (but you can bring them back and re-use them next time.) Follow along on social media to see if any discounts are offered. We’ll share discounts as we hear about them.

You are not allowed to use your grip socks from Smiley Indoor Playground or Kid’s Planet or Sky Zone.

Is there food on site?

Eat before you come or after you leave. At this time, there is no food available for purchase.

What’s the bathroom situation?

Bathrooms are available but consider bringing shoes you can slip on quickly (especially for little kids) because shoes are required in the bathrooms.
