Daniel’s Vineyard
9061 N. 700 W, McCordsville
Daniel’s Vineyard is bringing the fun for the entire month of June. Kicking off the month, you can buy tickets to learn how to salsa dance! Your ticket will get you a 60-minute lesson and includes a glass of wine or a wine slushie.
If you would rather sit back and enjoy wine and food, come out on the weekends to hear great live music. We love to pick out a flight of wines so that we can try a few different types and find our favorites. As always, Sundays are a great time to visit for the Bottomless Mimosas!
SoChatti
1125 E. Brookside Ave, Gate D2, Indianapolis
SoChatti has some absolutely great events happening in June that are perfect for a date night. The first is a Japanese Cooking Class that will focus on three different main dishes — Yakisoba Noodles, Fresh Spring Rolls, and Rainbow Sushi Rolls. You’ll learn under the instruction of the talented Mori Willhite, chef and owner of Katsumi’s Teaching Kitchen. The meal will be paired with Japanese beer & wine and SoChatti Chocolate.
The second event is an Artisanal Desserts Class. You’ll learn how to make three delicious desserts — chocolate truffles, peanut butter & chocolate pie, and chocolate nut clusters — with the help of SoChatti’s Executive Chef, Jessica Halstead.
Free Concerts
Various locations across Central Indiana
If you love live music, Indianapolis will be filled with song all summer long. Free concerts are one of our favorite summer date ideas and can be found all over the city throughout the week. We enjoy finding concerts happening at parks we love. Pack up chairs, a few blankets, and plenty of snacks and drinks. Make a run to the grocery store and pick up the makings of a great charcuterie board as a special picnic. This is also a great chance to visit some parks and towns you may never have visited.
Adult Nights at Waterparks
The Waterpark, 1195 Central Park Dr. E, Carmel
Freedom Springs Water Park, 850 E. Stop 18 Rd, Greenwood
Have you ever wished you could just enjoy the water park without the kids? Well, you can! Several Indy-area water parks host 21 and older events where you can swim, grab food and drinks, relax in the lazy river, and listen to music, all without being interrupted by little ones!
The Water Park in Carmel has the Monon Mixer on June 8 and June 23. If the Southside is a closer option for you, then head to Freedom Springs for their Adults Only Night on June 16.
Symphony on the Prairie
13400 Allisonville Rd, Fishers
The Kroger Symphony on the Prairie at Conner Prairie is back for a jam-packed 2023 musical season! This is one of those outdoor summer concerts that you just have to experience. It always tops our list of things to do in Indy during the summer. We love packing fun drinks, fresh Caprese salad, and artisanal bakery treats to make the evening really special. On June 23-24, you can hear the Music of Harry Potter and on June 30- July 3, you can enjoy the Star Spangled Symphony.
Newfields Summer Nights
4000 Michigan Rd, Indianapolis
Newfields has a big lineup of movies to keep you entertained all summer long. Every Friday in June, you can purchase tickets and come out to see one of their summer movies. Tickets are $9 for members and $12 for non-members. We like to pack up some comfy blankets and a picnic dinner. You can also bring chairs to sit in designated chair areas and purchase concessions. Doors open at 7 pm, so get there early to get a great seat and enjoy some pre-movie entertainment. The show will start at dusk, typically around 9:30 pm.
