A few weeks ago it was so hot that it was too dangerous to take young children outdoors to play in the high temperatures– record breaking temperatures if you will. You might recall that two Indianapolis area Gymboree centers offered a free emergency open gym. Lulu and I went and we had a wonderful time crawling through tunnels, stacking inner tubes, crossing bridges, jumping, teeter tottering and just plain having fun!

We haven’t joined up with Gymboree just yet for their active, colorful classes but we did attend an open class that they held at the Greenwood Library last winter. We sang songs, popped bubbles, played with a parachute and moved around. At the time, 9 month old Lulu really enjoyed it.

Today we are buying the Groupon offer for 60% off of a one month Gymboree membership which will include classes (Play & Learn, School Skills, Music, Art, Sports & Family Fun) and open gym times! Gymboree is great for ages 0-5 years and their families.

If you are going to check it out and buy the Groupon, will you help support Indianapolis with Kids by clicking on the banner above or below? I don’t get paid by Gymboree to tell you about them but I will get a few cents for each purchase the Indianapolis with Kids community makes through my Groupon affiliate link. Thanks and see you at Gymboree!
