Nighttime Halloween Festival

Conner Prairie’s annual Halloween festival that runs Thursday through Sunday, from October 11th to 28th and you don’t want to miss it!

Some of our favorite family memories are from the Headless Horseman nights at Conner Prairie. The big draw of the night is the haunted hayride where you’ll get chased down by the Headless Horseman as you wind through the grounds of Conner Prairie. If you have young children, you don’t have to miss out, just take the earliest hayride when the sun is still shining and it’s a lot less scary, but use your judgement about what’s best for your little ones.

During the inaugural year, the Conner Prairie corn maze was 7 acres, this year it’s 11 acres large and includes 3 mini mazes within, one of which is a haunted maze. Families will love the activities that are all a part of the festival nights; 100-foot potato sack slides, Halloween midway games, live themed shows, bounce houses, mini golf, giant pumpkin plinko, pumpkin bowling, spooky storytelling, fortune telling, puppet & magic shows.

Food is available for purchase at Conner Prairie and The Apple Store will remain open until 9pm. On some nights, food trucks will be on site.

Gates are open from 6-9pm, but many guests will line up as much as an hour early to be sure they get on an earlier hay ride, especially later in the season. Gates close at 9 but events continue on until 10 and some hayrides may run later if it is a high attendance night. Get in line for the early hayride tickets as soon as you get there if you want the best chance of avoiding the spookiness that darkness brings.
