Sullivan’s Express Santa Nights

The Sullivan Santa Express (small train) will take you and your family on a memorable trip to see Santa at the North Pole! Travel through the outdoor garden center at Sullivan’s Hardware store. It’s been set up to be the perfect winter wonderland.

There is a play area for the kids while you wait for your reserved departure time. When the train arrives, your family will be seated together in one car. The short train ride is open-air so dress for the weather!  After leaving the station, the narrated train ride will travel through bear country where you’ll encounter some friendly bears doing some rather unusual things. Upon your arrival at the North Pole, the kids can play in Santa’s workshop as your family takes turns visiting with Kris Kringle himself.

Seating is limited. The cost is a reasonable $35 per family. A family ticket includes the whole family, including grandparents! Tickets should be purchased in advance.

Indiana Transportation Museum Polar Bear Express

Travel through the Indiana countryside to the North Pole where you’ll watch from the train as Santa’s helpers are rushing to get ready for Christmas. Santa and Mrs. Claus will lead an interactive experience along with Snowflake the Polar Bear. The train ride lasts approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Passengers will receive hot chocolate, a cookie, and a candy cane; children will receive a small gift from Santa. A holiday themed story will also be read as part of the magical experience. Bring along a letter to give to Santa. The train departs Kokomo Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings beginning November 24th through December 23 and select Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Tickets are $35 per person for ages 2 and up. You’ll want to purchase them in advance.

Train departures are at 5:30pm & 7:30pm on Friday, Saturday and Sundays, November 3, 2017 – December 23, 2017. The train will also run on December 20th and 21st. Once the train is underway, the conductor will punch your ticket as the book, The Polar Express, is read aloud and enhanced with song and dance by our crew, with a special Cookie & Hot Chocolate presentation, just like in the movie!

When the train pulls into the North Pole, Santa Claus himself jumps on board and he presents each child with their own “first gift of the season”, a shiny silver sleigh bell.  You will also be entertained by Santa’s elves with interactive songs and dance that everyone can participate in.

To make the experience more magical, the children are encouraged to wear their pajamas. Parents are also welcome to join in the fun with their own pajamas! Tickets are $32 per person, children age 1 and under are free.
