The weather is beautiful, and outdoor activities are in full swing, but you may need an indoor escape from the heat as a reprieve.  Luckily there are several great indoor gym options around the city that can allow your child to be active but get a break from the elements! Be sure to bring socks with you to all these locations.

Tot Open Gym is available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during the school year and requires parent supervision.  Children play on a variety of mats and soft structures. Accompanying parents are free.
Rates:  $1 for members, $2 for residents, $3 for non-residents.
Monday: 8:30 – 11 am, Wednesday: 8:30 – 11 am, Friday: 8:30 – 11 am

Offers parent and tot classes, gymnastics, cheer and “NinjaZone” for ninjas in training.  Open gym is offered free with a class registration, and $7 for siblings attending with a member child.
Rates:  $70 a month for one class, $58 a month per additional class

My Gym offers classes for babies 7 months old to children 13 years of age.  Open gym times are free to class members, but My Gym also offers Pay to Play times for non-members, as well.

Gymboree Play and Music (12524 N. Gray Road, Carmel) AND (1101 North State Road 135, Greenwood)

Gymboree offers classes for children birth to 5 years old, ranging in a variety of formats including art, music, sports, school skills, and Play & Learn.  The Play & Learn classes offer semi-structured gross motor classes.  Open gym time is offered free to members several times a week and on the weekend, when enrolled in a class.
