I just love fresh cut flowers in my house, don’t you? These gorgeous flower farms offer u-pick, or rather, you cut experiences in their fields. You’ll be surrounded by beauty and charm and fragrance and color. There’s just nothing like building a bouquet of flowers with all of your favorite blooms. Your kids can help too!

Must-Visit Flower Farms Near Indy

Please note that you should call ahead to be sure the flower fields you are visiting has blooms available for cutting on the day you’d like to visit. Most farms recommend bringing a bucket for water to keep your flowers hydrated on the drive home.

Dollie’s U-Pick Flower Farm

3961 N 425 East, Franklin

Dollie’s Flower Farm is located about 30 minutes south of downtown Indianapolis in Franklin. Dollie’s Lavender and U-pick Flower Farm boasts rows of mature lavender and a variety of flowers. From a field of poppies to gorgeous sunflowers, there is something beautiful and colorful for everyone. This scenic farm would also be an incredible date night idea, a beautiful setting for a moms night out, a wedding or baby shower, or other special occasion. Cut flowers are sold either in bundles starting as low as $10 or by the stem, depending on variety.

Fishers Flower Farm

Fishers, near 106th and Allisonville

Beginning in late summer, usually August through October, Fishers Flower Farm hosts small groups and families for flower cutting by appointment only. Keep an eye on their social media for dates and snag your reservation through their website. Learn about the flower varieties and care tips in a guided experience as you cut your own 20 stem bouquet, currently priced at $28. Additional flowers are sold by the stem.

P&D Flower Farm

7749 E. 1000 N, Indianapolis

From huge dahlia blossoms to cream and red sunflowers, P&D Flower Farm has awesome variety in their field of flowers. For the 2022 season, the farm will be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, 10am-6pm, from June 24th through October 16th. Flowers are sold by stem count and some are sold individually.

Anderson Flower Farm

2284 West CR 300 South, Frankfort

At Anderson Flower Farm in Frankfort, just 40 minutes from Indy, you’ll see a variety of flowers blooming throughout the season, from Delphiniums to Snap Dragons, Lisianthus to Sweet William, Lilies and more. Purchase flowers by the bucket. With a paid full-size bucket, children’s buckets are also available for $5.

Wildflower Flower Farm

10326 N County Road 300 W, Jamestown

The couple behind this flower farm 30 minutes west of Indy began with a romantic goal in mind: to grow their own wedding flowers! Now, they welcome visitors to their farm Friday through Sunday throughout the summer to cut their own bouquets, whether for a wedding, a gift, or to brighten up your own home. This year, the owners anticipate opening in June, dependent on weather. Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic, blanket or chairs, and even yard games to enjoy. Flowers are sold by the cup, pitcher, or bucket, filled “reasonably full.”

Mossy Acres Flower Farm

15651 North 600 East, Flat Rock

Mossy Acres Flower Farm near downtown Columbus has rows of flowers with vibrant colors. Pay to fill either a one gallon or 3 1/2 gallon bucket with beautiful blooms. This very family friendly farm has lots of animals to meet and a playhouse in the flower field where kids can play while you craft the perfect bouquet! Mossy Acres also offers Baby Animal Playdates by appointment beginning in May, which includes a u-pick bundle of daffodils. The main flower field is usually in bloom beginning in July and lasting through October. Check their Facebook page or website for exact dates as the time gets closer!

Raven and Crow Farm

Whitestown

Raven and Crow opened in 2019 offering pre-cut flowers and arrangements, but beginning this summer, they will offer opportunities to attend unique U Pick events on the farm. They have already scheduled three evenings in July and August featuring live music and flower cutting in their fields. Their plans are still developing, so keep an eye on Raven and Crow’s social media for additional U Pick events and floral arranging workshops, including some specifically for families, later this summer!

AgriPark in Fishers

The Fishers AgriPark features public fields and gardens, where visitors have access to seasonal produce and cut flowers to take home at no charge. Guests can see farm animals and play in the nature play area. Regular programing is available for all ages.

Driving Wind Berry Farm

Blueberries, strawberries, blackberries and…U Pick flowers. That’s right, new in 2022, Driving Wind Berry Farm is adding a field of flowers available to cut and purchase. Call ahead or check their social media to see what is in bloom. Flowers will be sold by the stem.

Sunflower Fields in Indiana

There are so many flower farms and fall attraction farms that offer sunflower fields for cutting and photographing. During the summer, you can usually find a sunflower patch at most of the cut flower farms in Indiana and during August – October, many of the pumpkin patches offer visits to the sunflower field for cutting or taking family photos and selfies.

Sunflower Field at The Barn at Crystal Spring Farm

It’s easy to drive past this roadside sunflower patch, but it’s not easy to miss the big beautiful blooms waving at your from the road. Bring cash and your own clippers to snip a few to take home. Blooms are $1 for three and cash can be deposited in the collection box near the sign. The field is typically ready mid-late June through the summer.
