Westside Park

Westside Park spans over 27 acres, and includes a variety of amenities, such as a softball diamond, tennis courts, a playground, and a picnic shelter. Pleasant Creek runs through the park, for creek stomping or other water play. Walking trails can be found by the creek, for a scenic natural backdrop for your family walk.

Greenwood Community Center & Kid City

After undergoing an extensive renovation, the Greenwood Community Center is brand new and better than ever. Kid City is a two story space dedicated entirely to children, where you will find STEAM play based activities, that are challenging and creative for all age ranges. In addition, you will find a climbing structure, gathering spaces, and fitness studios available for use.

Wrights Southeast – Gymnastics and Ninja Zone

You Are The Artist is a local art studio where you will find in person classes, that include kits  with tutorials. You can create your very own artwork here and they welcome children to attend. Art projects range from home decor, Cricut projects, and more!

Old City Park

Old City Park is one of the most historic parks in Greenwood, located in the heart of downtown. The reimagined park features a custom designed playground, an 18 foot wide creek, and a custom designed climbing wall and net to encourage non-structured play. You will also find a pedestrian bridge, porch swings, bocce ball courts and more. This is definitely a unique place to play with a great mix of urban design and natural elements.

Royal Pin Southern Bowl

Who doesn’t love bowling? This bowling alley features a total of 40 lanes, an arcade, a snack bar that serves various items, and plenty of TVs for sports entertainment. Freedom Springs Aquatic Park

If you’ve never been to this aquatic park, what are you waiting for? Freedom Springs Aquatic Park is one of the best water parks in the Indianapolis area, featuring tube slides, a lazy river, lap pools, and the kids splash area. They have Cabanas available for rent as well, on those hot summer days. There is an island that functions as a stage for live performances and so much more, at this seasonal water park.

Otte Golf and Family Fun Center

Otte Golf and Family Fun Center is a great place for a day out with the kids. They have an 18 hole golf course, as well as mini golf, a driving range, plus batting cages and a snack bar. They offer unlimited miniature golf for children ages 4 to 12, for only six dollars!

City Center Park

City Center Park is hidden in Old Town, in the former location of the city pool. You will find a splash pad seasonally, multiple playgrounds, a picnic table, tennis courts, and a basketball court at this extensive city park. They will fire and glaze your creation for you to come pick up, and take home to display for years to come.

Independence Park

This newly renovated park is known as Indiana’s first all accessible playground for people of all abilities. Independence Park offers a state-of-the-art playground that is inclusive and handicap accessible, a music area, a picnic shelter, and a full basketball court. There is also a paved, stroller-friendly trail that is great for a casual walk.

Play Pocket Trail

Play Pocket Trail is a unique stretch of trail that features four separate play spots with their own themes. There is a bee play pocket, a tree play pocket, a butterfly play pocket, and a fire fighter play pocket. The play stops offer interactive play structures while walking on one of the city’s favorite trails.

Are you feeling creative? At Board and Brush, you can create in this do it yourself shop making wooden signs. They offer a variety of instructor lead workshops, where you can pick the theme that works best for you. Make sure to check the website before you go, as some of the workshops are for 16 and up, but others are children and young teen friendly.

Mrs. Curl Ice Cream Shop and Outdoor Cafe

This family owned and operated ice cream shop, has been a Greenwood staple since 1962. Mrs. Curl serves up, soft serve, hands spun milkshakes, hotdogs, fries, and other eats and treats. The black cherry vanilla swirl ice cream is amazing, you must try some when you go! The kids will love the fun creations they can make with their ice cream.

Summerfield Park

275 West Worthsville Road, Greenwood 46143

This park spans over 16 acres, and provides a large green space for open play. You will find soccer fields, a basketball court, and two playgrounds to play at, as well as a large shelter house available for use. They have trails throughout the park as well for walking and exploring nature.
