Farmers' Market Locations in the Indy Area

The weather is warming, summer is just around the corner, and that means it’s the start of farmers market season. We want to make sure you don’t miss an opportunity to get out and meet your local farmers and artisans, so we compiled this extensive list of Indy area markets.

But don’t worry. If you can’t make it to a market every week, you can order online from local vendors though Market WagonGreen Bean DeliveryTyner Pond Farm (meat and eggs only) or Hoosier Harvest Market.

Farmers’ Markets in Bartholomew County

 

Columbus Farmers Market

Where: 600 Brown St., Columbus
When: Tuesdays from 3-6 pm, starting June 6

Know Before You Go: The market will be phasing back in with limited numbers, increased space between vendors, and requests PPE to be worn by all vendors and patrons.

Farmers’ Markets in Boone County

Zionsville Farmers Market

Where: Town Hall parking lot in Zionsville
When: Saturdays from 8-11 am, Opening June 6 through September

Farmers’ Markets in Hamilton County

Carmel Farmers Market

Where: 5 Center Green, Carmel
When: Saturdays from 8-11:30 am, May – September

Know Before You Go: The market has made several temporary precautions, including requiring all market vendors and volunteers to wear a mask and gloves, requesting those who visit the market to wear PPE, distancing vendor booths a minimum of 20 feet apart, and no public restrooms.

Fishers Farmers’ Market

Where: Nickel Plate District Amphitheater, 6 Municipal Drive, Fishers
When: Saturdays from 8 am-noon, May 4 through September 30

Know Before You Go: The month of May will be a virtual Farmers’ Market, to safely shop vendors online and request items to be delivered or picked up in-person at Holland Park from 8 am to noon on market days.

Noblesville Farmers’ Market

Where: Federal Hill Commons at the corner of Westfield Road (SR 32) and Cicero Road (SR 19)
When: Saturdays from 8 am-noon, May 16-October 24

Know Before You Go: Face masks will be required at this market.  If you do not have your own, masks will be available at the market.

Saxony Farmers’ Market

Where: 131st Street & Olio Road, Fishers
When: Saturdays from 9 am-noon, June 6-September 7

Know Before You Go: The opening date of June is dependent on when the government will permit in-person markets. The market will adjust vendor booth set-up to allow for social distancing and provide handwashing stations. Additional safety directives may be implemented.

Sheridan Farmers’ Market

Where: Grinnell Plaza in Historic Downtown Sheridan
When: Thursdays from 5-7 pm, June 18-September 17

When: Saturdays from 8 am-noon, May-October; and Wednesdays 8 am-noon, July-September

Know Before You Go: Market guests are asked to maintain social distance, pre-order as much as possible, limit shoppers to one per family, and only one customer per vendor booth at a time. There will also be a hand-washing station available.

Avon Farmers’ Market

Know Before You Go: Shoppers age 65 and older and those with underlying health conditions are welcome to shop beginning at 4:30 pm. Guests will be limited and are encouraged to wear PPE and adhere to social distancing guidelines. No animals will be allowed.

Danville Chamber Farmers’ Market

Where: The west side of the Hendricks County Courthouse, 1 Courthouse Square, Danville

Broad Ripple Farmers’ Market

Where: Glendale Town Center, East Parking Lot (East of Target-Lowe’s), 6179 N. Rural Street, Indianapolis, 46220
When: Saturdays from 8 am-noon, May-September. Saturdays, 9 am-noon, October-November.

Know Before You Go: This market is has taken precautions by placing booths 10 feet apart, requiring social distancing guidelines to be followed with chalk marks on the ground to assist with keeping a six foot minimum, requiring vendors and volunteers to wear masks and gloves, requesting customers to also wear face masks, allowing one person at a time to interact with a vendor,  and posting three handwashing stations throughout market. They are also having the first half hour of each market reserved for seniors and immune-compromised customers. Customers who do not fall into the high-risk category as asked to wait until 8:30 am before entering the market.

Original Farmers’ Market at Indianapolis City Market

Where: Outside the City Market on Market Street, between Delaware and Alabama Streets.

Know Before You Go: This market is currently a drive-through market.  Market guests as asked remain in their cars to drive up to vendors’ booths when ordering.  There will be an empty table in-between the car and vendor to create a safe social distance.
