One of the best things about Spring Break is that it encourages your child to connect with nature, breathe in the fresh Spring air and get outdoors, go rock climbing, try something new and hopefully burn off some extra energy. Experts agree that an active child is a healthy child. Do you have a little one that loves to run, jump, climb, horseback ride, dance, tumble? If you do, we invite you to check out this list of vibrant activities this Spring Break. For even more ideas, see our guide to Spring Break Activities in Indianapolis.

Looking for spaces and places to run those kids tired?! Me too! Here are some favorite ways to spend spring break with our active children. Find more spring break ideas on our 99 Things to do in Indy During Spring Break list or subscribe to our weekly email, it’s FULL of new ideas for fun.
Jump for Joy
Every kid I know that goes to Skyzone Trampoline Park leaves happily exhausted. Sometimes they even fall asleep in the car! Look at their schedule for open bounce times, toddler times and even times for children with special needs.
There aren’t enough hours in the day for my kids when it comes to jumping and playing at an indoor inflatable center. You can frequently find us at Monkey Joe’s in the evenings. We also enjoy a visit to Bounce U and I’ve heard great things about Jump N’ Play.
Get Out and Play
We love our parks programs for their playgrounds, their amazing facilities, incredible programing and diverse areas to play. Our explorations have also taken us to other city parks, like the playground in Greenwood that features an inclusive/accessible play structure and musical instruments.
Horseback riding, hiking, bicycle riding, archery and other fun springtime activities are on the top of our Indy spring break fun list.
Go In and Play
If you haven’t played on one of our favorite FREE indoor playgrounds yet, this is your week! Try Brookville Road Community Church, Cornerstone Lutheran Church in Fishers, the Park at Traders Point and The Treehouse at Plainfield Christian.
Get some energy out while having a great time at Incrediplex, Main Event, ZipCity, Indy Urban Air or Defy Indy.
Show us where you’re playing, tweet or instagram with the hashtag #PLAYindy and maybe even tag us in it @indywithkids. We love seeing what you’re up to and you never know when we might see YOU out and about.
What are you waiting for? Head out and explore Indy this Spring Break!
